Welcome to Crossroads Christian Preschool!

 

My name is Tracy Hulsman and I am the director of Crossroads Christian Preschool.  I started as a teacher, here at Crossroads, for ten years and I have been the director now for over 3 years.  I taught the 2's and 3's class for 2 years and then moved to the 4 year old class for 8 years.  I loved teaching here at Crossroads and now love being the director!  I still get to "teach" the children once a month during Bible time for Character Education.  I also enjoy helping with small groups, special events and class parties, and just coming to "hang out" during centers. I love to see their excitement for learning and watching the progress they make throughout the school year!
 

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology, 90 hours Child Care Certification, Medication Administration, Child Care Administration Class, and have achieved a Level 6 in the Maryland Excels Credentialing Program.  In my free time I enjoy reading on my deck with my dog, Finn, music, going to the gym, and spending time with my family and friends.   
 

Crossroads has been educating children in Carroll County for over 12 years now.  We provide a hands on, play based nurturing Christ-centered preschool program.  We work with outside community resources and programs and our families to provide a developmentally appropriate program for all of our children.  Our program offers on campus and off campus field trips, Chapel with Pastor Malcolm, Character Education with Mrs. Tracy, small groups, holiday parties, birthday celebrations, "park days" at City Park, and a variety of centers/activities in every classroom!

Our classrooms are staffed with a degreed teacher with a minimum of a BA or BS in Early Childhood Education or related field and a teacher assistant who meets MSDE standards.  All staff are credentialed in the MSDE Excels Credentialing Program, have their ADA training, and CPR and First Aid.  All of our lead teachers have the Medication Administration training. Most of all, our staff is dedicated in providing a loving and nurturing atmosphere, but at the same time, structured and packed with learning!
